Crispi Boot Care

Having a simple cleaning and condition routine added to your arsenal will help maintain and extend the life of your boots. On this page, we are going to go over how we recommend cleaning and conditioning your boots. You should clean and condition your boots after each hunt.


MATERIALS NEEDED

  • Hard Bristle Brush
  • Small Brush
  • A Clean Rag
  • Small Dish of Warm Water
  • A Boot Cleaner or Saddle Soap for Leather
  • Crispi Waterproof Cream or Spray

CLEANING STEPS

  • Unlace your boot.
  • Knock off all chunks of dirt.
  • Use the stiff bristle brush to clean off the dirt.
  • Wipe off the boot using the rag.
  • Add a little cleaning solution to your water dish.
  • Dip your brush in the water and start cleaning from the midsole and work your way up and around the boot. Make sure you clean around the eyelets. You can use the smaller softer brush to get these areas.
  • Use the rag to wipe off any remaining water and cleaner.
  • Make sure and clean out the tongue gusset area of debris.
  • Set boots aside to start to dry.
  • Hand wash your laces using warm water.

CONDITIONING STEPS for LEATHER BOOTS

  • When the boots are lightly damp, apply Crispi Waterproofing Cream liberally using the self-applicator.
  • Work in the cream in a circular motion.
  • Apply the cream to all leather areas including the tongue, tongue gusset, and leather pu-coated rand. You can apply it to the microfiber synthetic material.
  • Wipe off any excessive cream.
  • Lace boots and store them inside away from heat vents or excessive heat.

CONDITIONING STEPS for SYNTHETIC BOOTS

  • When the boots are lightly damp, apply Crispi Waterproofing Cleaning Spray.
  • Spray all areas including the tongue, tongue gusset, and leather pu-coated rand. You can apply the Crispi Waterproofing Cleaning Spray to the microfiber synthetic material or the Crispi Waterproof Cream.
  • Lace boots and store them inside away from heat vents or excessive heat.
